Amanda is the mother of six. She has given birth in a variety of ways including both medicated and unmediated in a hospital, twice in her own home, and once by emergency surgical birth. She believes that birth is a normal function and that it is safest when it is left to happen on its own.

Caitlin Balding
Caitlin is a DONA trained birth doula, midwifery assistant, and student midwife. She has been fascinated with the birthing process, especially midwifery & out of hospital birth, from a young age. After hearing her own mother’s birth experiences, Caitlin knew she wanted to pursue a career in midwifery in order to make a positive impact on maternity care. Caitlin believes women’s bodies are perfectly designed to birth, and is passionate about guiding & educating clients through the journey that is childbearing.
Caitlin completed DONA doula training in 2018 at the age of 16 & eventually decided to take the leap and begin midwifery training with Midwives College of Utah in 2021. As Caitlin has grown as a birth worker, she has found that one of her favorite aspects of midwifery care is walking alongside families’ as they welcome a new life and transition into a new season.

Doula, Student Midwife
Roshini Nambiar Schroeder
Roshini Nambiar Schroeder (or Rosh as her friends and family call her) is a DONA trained birth doula and owner of OmPowering Birthing Services, LLC. She started her birth doula journey when her sister decided to have a natural birthing experience and the experience of supporting a birth center birth with the closest person in her life, changed hers. After two degrees in environmental science and working in water quality for the State of Oklahoma, Rosh describes her journey as from Earth to Birth. She has witnessed the absolute beauty and empowerment in families learning how to bring their own babies into the world in the way that they want and having the support required to navigate the unpredictability and mystery of birth. She has benefited immensely and continues to be a firm believer in the midwifery model of care when having her own baby while being educated in evidence-based birthing.
Rosh went on to birth her own baby with the Thrive Mama Collective / Spirited Birth team during the start of COVID-19. She has since applied to midwifery school and is on the start of that journey while assisting birthing families with their own birthing journeys.
Rosh loves sustainability in every way and has a deep love for learning and connecting in every possible way.
